- ❌ Free Edition: The free plan has no purchase cost, so refunds don't apply
- ❌ Third-party services: Costs for external services (e.g., tax professional consultations outside TaxLoom)
- ❌ Abuse of policy: Repeated refund requests or suspected fraud
Important: If you've already e-filed your tax return, we cannot issue a refund because the IRS filing fees are non-refundable. Please request a refund before submitting your return to the IRS if you're unsure.
Maximum Refund Guarantee (Tax Refund)
In addition to our money-back guarantee, TaxLoom also offers a Maximum Tax Refund Guarantee:
- If you find a larger tax refund using another service with the same information, we'll refund your TaxLoom fees

- Must provide proof of larger refund from competitor within 30 days
